ABOUT
I never expected to be someone who debates soil amendments over dinner, but here we are. Eight years ago, my family and I left behind the fast-paced suburban grind for a small farm in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut. Our goal? A life more connected to nature, slower mornings, and homegrown food on the table. The reality? More chickens than planned.
Mid-life—and years of burning the candle at both ends—taught me a valuable lesson: food is more than fuel; it’s medicine, prevention, and the foundation of well-being. Additionally, watching my children’s health and focus shift with the food they ate, I dove deep into nutrient-dense gardening, regenerative growing, and the environmental impact of industrial agriculture.
I also realized that gardening isn’t just about food—it’s about mental clarity, stress relief, and longevity. Science now confirms what gardeners have always known: time in nature reduces stress, sharpens focus, and adds years to our lives. For me, the garden became both sanctuary and solution—a place to nourish my family and reset my mind.
After years of research, trial and error, and a few composting misadventures, I founded Eden Sagewell to help others reclaim their connection to food, wellness, and the rhythms of nature. Whether you have acres of land or just a few pots on a patio, I believe you can grow good food, live well, and flourish at every age.
So if you love practical gardening wisdom, nutrient-rich foods, and the occasional laugh at farm life—you’re in the right place. Let’s dig in and cultivate wellness together.
xx, Eden
